This print depicts my painting “Karana Mudra.” The Boddhisatva Guanyin is often depicted with her hand giving this gesture, karana. According to Buddhist texts, this is a powerful symbol of protection, driving away harmful influences such as anxiety, fear, depression, and negative emotions. The mudra represents protection and reminds us of the Buddha's teachings on overcoming the challenges we face in our journey toward enlightenment.
